About The Position

The Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority (SNVRHA) is recruiting a Supportive Services Coordinator (grant-funded) to join their team. SNRHA provides affordable housing to low- and moderate-income households through its public and affordable housing programs. The team comprises over 200 committed and caring professionals who support the mission and the clients and communities they serve. The Supportive Services Coordinator (Grant-Funded) position develops and implements supportive services to meet requirements for programs established within the agency's jurisdiction. The incumbent coordinates various training and development programs designed to promote family services and self-sufficiency among residents. Employees in this classification perform professional-level work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Social Work, Public Administration, or a closely related field, as well as two (2) years of work experience and/or training that includes the social service field.
  • A combination of formal education and directly related work experience may substitute for a required degree. The Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority (SNRHA) will assess 1.5 years of full-time, directly related work experience as equivalent to one (1) year of education.
  • Internal candidates will meet the minimum qualifications by demonstrating at least six (6) years of relevant work experience in social services programs in lieu of the educational requirement.
  • A Valid Nevada Driver’s License, or the ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate and develop partnerships with federal, state, and local officials, local family and senior service providers, and local businesses to design, fund, and implement social and other supportive services that promote independent living and wellness of residents residing on SNRHA properties as required.
  • Attend meetings with government agencies, community organizations, and residents to identify the unmet and forecasted needs of residents, seek alternative approaches, and identify funding or the sustained delivery of supportive services as required.
  • Assure compliance with all pertinent rules, regulations, and policies stipulated by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, State of Nevada, SNRHA, state and local governments, and funding sources.
  • Implement appropriate administrative policies and procedures to ensure contract compliance, cost and quality controls, and schedule adherence.
  • Manage the development and administration of client outreach, intake, needs assessment, service delivery, case management, documentation, evaluation, and reporting of direct services provided to Senior Service staff. Develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures to evaluate the impact of trend analysis that forecasts residents’ future self-sufficiency needs.
  • Under minimal supervision, exercises sound judgment in making decisions and evaluating alternatives related to resident programs.
  • Applies critical analysis and independent decision-making to plan, coordinate, and administer multiple programs.
  • Provides guidance and support regarding the proper application of procedures, regulations, and standards to individual cases and situations.
  • Collects, coordinates, maintains, and analyzes data and program information; determines appropriate data classification and interprets results in accordance with established guidelines and standards.
  • Understand the organization and operation of the Housing Authority and outside agencies as necessary to assume assigned responsibilities.
  • Assess, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks, programs, and competing demands.
  • Function as a liaison between various entities.
  • Adhere to the confidentiality standards of the Privacy Act of 1974, U.S.C.552A as amended.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and respectful interactions with clients, visitors, and SNRHA staff to promote positive relationships and a high standard of customer service.
  • Communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
