About The Position

Seeking a sitter to work full-time or part-time hours, working with multiple families. We are an approved respite provider for children with special needs, including autism, Down syndrome, and cerebral palsy. The role offers a supportive team environment with training and hands-on guidance, legal employment with direct deposit pay, and a meaningful opportunity to help families and neurodivergent children thrive.

Requirements

Fully Vaccinated + Boosted for Covid-19
Childcare references (paid or unpaid experience)
Reliable and insured transportation
Cell phone with data
Ability to lift 35 pounds safely
Ability to get up from and down to the floor numerous times throughout the day
Ability to react quickly to certain situations
Ability to react to emergent situations in a calm, effective and safe manner

Responsibilities

Work with multiple families.
Engage in fun, play, reading, arts and crafts, and other activities in families' homes.
Provide supportive care for children with special needs, including autism, Down syndrome, and cerebral palsy.
Pick up additional backup care shifts for full-time schedules.
Travel to various family homes.
Accept and record assignments via cell phone with data.
Manage availability, scheduling, and job assignments using app-based tools.
Follow CDC guidelines and ensure best hygiene practices.
