About The Position

UCP Oregon is seeking a Supported Living Specialist to assist adults with developmental disabilities in living independently in their own homes. This role involves working one-on-one to help clients make choices, learn new skills, and engage in community activities. Responsibilities may include assisting with household chores, personal care such as showering, and medication administration. The position emphasizes building strong relationships with clients through a person-centered approach, empowering them to develop self-advocacy, make informed choices, and achieve personal goals. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Be able to transport clients in your car.
• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a current driver's license.
• Have a reliable personal vehicle.
• Have at least two years of driving experience.
• Have auto insurance.
• Have a clean driving record.
• Be able to pass a reference check.
• Be able to pass a physical with a lifting test of 50lbs.
• Be able to pass a criminal history background check.

• Experience in the developmental disability field.

Responsibilities

• Assist adults with developmental disabilities to live independently in their own houses and apartments.
• Help clients make their own choices.
• Assist clients in learning new skills.
• Support clients in participating in fun activities in the community.
• Provide assistance with chores.
• Assist with personal care such as showering.
• Assist with medication administration.
• Work one-on-one with clients to build real relationships.
