About The Position

The Family Resource Network (FRN) is a statewide organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with epilepsy, autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities, physical disabilities, and chronic illnesses. With over 30 programs and services, FRN has been making a significant impact for over five decades. The organization serves over 3,500 individuals through direct services and 80,000 through training and education annually. FRN's core mission is to provide community-based programs that meet the evolving needs of individuals and families across New Jersey. The Getting to Work (GTW) program is a supported employment program offering pre-placement services, intensive job coaching, long-term follow-along services, and benefits counseling for consumers with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities. GTW is also a registered Employment Network supporting Social Security beneficiaries in finding and maintaining employment. The GTW Program Manager will oversee employment services and supervise employment staff.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree required
  • Prior experience providing supported employment services and writing employment plans
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Effective decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise GTW program staff.
  • Provide ongoing feedback and evaluation of GTW staff including, but not limited to: annual evaluations, development of SMART goals, and site visits.
  • Assist in billing program hours by gathering billing documents, including employment plans, progress notes, and reports.
  • Track open vouchers and authorizations and conduct regular quality checks of progress notes for each consumer.
  • Monitor data entry, including the development of employment plans, progress notes, and assessments, to ensure that the program complies with CARF and FRN quality standards.
  • Maintain a caseload and provide job coaching approximately 5 hours per week.
  • Assist in job development for GTW participants and develop partnerships with local employers.
  • Serve as primary point of contact with program funders (DDD, NJDVRS, NJCBVI).
  • Acquire new referrals through outreach to funders, DVRS regional offices, and support coordination agencies.
  • Coordinate initial and on-going training for all GTW program staff.
  • Review and approve time sheets and expenses for all GTW staff.
  • Submit reports, documentation, and updates to Director of Programs and Services as requested.
  • Perform other job duties as required by supervisor or CEO.
