About The Position

We are seeking 1 x Female Support Worker for our Supported Living Service in Southport, PR8 to support a new resident. The role involves Waking Nights shifts from 8pm to 8am, working 3 shifts per week (36 hours per week). Community Integrated Care is a large health and social care charity founded in 1988, pioneering the 'Care in the Community' agenda. We support over 2,600 people and employ 6,600 colleagues across England and Scotland, focusing on delivering high-quality, person-centred support that fosters independence and empowerment. The individual you will be supporting is a 46-year-old lady with a learning disability, autism, and some mental health challenges, who requires support with personal care, medication administration, cooking, cleaning, paying bills, and organizing her days. She enjoys Harry Potter, drawing, colouring, Disney films, and has a fondness for teddies and dolls. She needs support to become more independent, requiring patience, time to process information, and recognition of environmental sensitivities. The role requires staff to be trained in medication administration and familiar with the Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) approach. You will be part of her dedicated staff team, working alongside day staff and a sleep-in staff member in the main house.

Requirements

  • Must be a female support worker
  • Willing to work Waking Nights shifts (8pm to 8am)
  • Ability to work 3 shifts per week (36 hours pw)
  • Training in medication administration
  • Familiarity with the PBS approach to supporting behaviour that may challenge
  • Friendly, approachable, trustworthy
  • Willing to be flexible and adaptable
  • Skilled to support the individual's needs

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in social care
