About The Position

Supported Lifestyles Ltd. is a not-for-profit agency that provides services to individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges. Its mission is to provide highly specialized, quality supports to individuals with complex disabilities. Requirements

Minimum 3 months of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental health challenges.
Experience providing behavioural supports to clients.
Experience providing personal care (e.g., assisting with bathing, toileting, and personal hygiene).
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

Post-secondary education in a related field is an asset (e.g., Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, etc.).
Access to a personal vehicle is an asset (we support individuals across all four quadrants of Calgary).
Current First Aid/CPR certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

Deliver quality, specialized services in accordance with Supported Lifestyles' mission, philosophy, agency, and position standards.
Provide support to individuals through community integration, skill learning, and positive quality of life.
Provide assistance to individuals in service, including behavioural and emotional support, data collection, and implementation of behavioural support plans.
Participate in community and recreational pursuits with individuals in service.
Administer and document medication in accordance with organizational policies and individual care plans.
Participate in the general upkeep of the group home.
Provide de-escalation support and crisis management as needed.
Document and maintain accurate client records, case notes, and reports.
