About The Position
Primrose School of Carmel is hiring an entry-level, part-time afternoon Support Teacher to work with young children. The Support Teacher helps provide nurturing care, build trusted relationships with families, and support children’s development. The role uses the school’s digital learning platform and Balanced Learning curriculum, with lesson plans provided. No prior experience is required, and training is provided. The schedule is 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Compensation is $15.00–$17.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Passion for nurturing and educating young children.
- No prior experience required; training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Support a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment for children.
- Assist with age-appropriate lesson plans provided by the school.
- Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe learning space.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to foster a supportive community.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
- Support children’s individual learning needs and encourage their social and emotional growth.
