About The Position

JUSTIN is an award-winning winery and fine dining establishment in Paso Robles, recognized for its Michelin Star and Green Star awards, sustainability practices, and excellence in hospitality. The Downtown Tasting Room team is seeking a positive and energetic Full-Time Support Staff member. This role is responsible for welcoming guests, providing water service, clearing tables, replenishing supplies, and accommodating special requests to create a memorable experience. This position offers hands-on experience in a luxury, high-volume tasting room with opportunities for wine and service knowledge expansion through the JUSTIN training program. The role is based at the JUSTIN Downtown Tasting Room in Paso Robles, CA, with a normal work shift of 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM. The position requires flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a restaurant, tasting room or other hospitality setting is preferred but not required
  • Valid Food Handler Certificate and Alcohol Beverage Control License or willing to complete upon employment
  • Show a strong interest in customer service and an appreciation for wine
  • Possess a flexible schedule, including the ability to work weekends and holidays
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members from diverse backgrounds
  • Interest in customer service and wine, with a willingness to learn and grow
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English

Responsibilities

  • Welcomes guests upon arrival and assists in creating a memorable tasting experience
  • Responds promptly and appropriately to guest requests, communicating needs to Wine Guides or Managers as necessary
  • Accommodates special requests and ensures a seamless flow of service throughout
  • Clears tables after guests leave, transporting glassware, silverware, and dishes to appropriate areas for washing
  • Resets and arranges tabletops and ensures floors and seating areas are clean and tidy
  • Inspects restrooms regularly and maintains cleanliness and restocking standards
  • Assists with pre- and post-shift setup and cleanup to maintain operational readiness
  • Restocks wine, merchandise, and collateral materials as needed
  • Supports Wine Guides with timely replenishment of table supplies and service items
