About The Position

The Visitor Center Host is the embodiment of Quintessa and our guest experience philosophy. A key role with Quintessa, our hosts serve to educate our guests, share our unique story and invite our guests to purchase wines and join our membership program.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in hospitality, wine or related industry
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays and some evenings.
  • Show success in membership acquisition and wine sales
  • Display order entry accuracy and consistent guest follow up
  • Preliminary wine, winemaking and grape growing knowledge
  • POS/CRM systems experience
  • Attend in-house educational trainings
  • ABC or TIPS Certification
  • Experience with and ability to host large groups
  • Is a reliable team member with excellent time and attendance record
  • Displays time management maturity and hosts groups within the allotted time frame
  • Expresses an internal culture of sales success and team building
  • Acts as a Quintessa and HV ambassador when doing outreach and attending networking events
  • Ability to host special experiences including, but not limited to: events, VIP, trade, family, offsite pouring, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Host our guests for an educational and memorable visit to our estate. Our hosts create memories through storytelling and educate through sharing their knowledge of our winemaking techniques and viticultural practices.
  • Create and cultivate meaningful relationships with Vineyard Circle members and guests with genuine interaction that is approachable and friendly.
  • Create and maintain a guest-oriented environment focused on building customer relationships and loyalty.
  • Be well versed and passionate about wine. Seek to attain wine knowledge ranging from the wine industry, production and biodynamic farming. Deploy that knowledge to build rapport and educate our guests and members.
  • Input orders and maintain customer notes accurately and in a timely fashion through our CRM.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and keep busy during down time.
  • Engage with guests and promote capture of contact data for Vineyard Circle, mailing list, and wine sales.
