About The Position

We are looking for caring and energetic Personal Care Aides to support a warm, engaging 35-year-old man with medical fragility and intellectual disabilities. This role is hands-on, relationship-focused, and deeply rewarding. You’ll work 1:1 or 2:1 depending on the day, helping him stay safe, connected, and involved in daily life. His family values creativity and welcomes your ideas for new activities and outings.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation
• Background check clearance
• Physically able to lift/transfer
• Comfortable with community outings & willing to contribute activity ideas

Nice To Haves

• CNA preferred but not required — full training provided

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care: bathing, feeding tube, toileting, and transfers
• Assist with mobility (wheelchair use; nonverbal communication)
• Engage him in meaningful activities at home and in the community
• Use or learn to use an iPad for communication and entertainment
• Help with meal prep, hydration, light housekeeping, and routines
• Stay fully present (no personal phone use during shifts)
• Complete daily service notes for review
