About The Position

Support Staff is responsible for the comprehensive services offered through on-site and off-site programs. This includes case management, psycho education, crisis intervention, advocacy, and community liaison. The position involves timely and accurate completion of all documentation such as shift logs, incident reports, and service notes. Responsibilities also include medication monitoring and education to support self-dosing of medication, and teaching community skills including ADLs as needed in both individual and group settings. A Rehab Counselor will assist in the transportation of clients between residences, office, and community locations as needed. The Support Staff will assist the Rehabilitation Counselors and other staff as needed. Maintaining their level of skill by completing the required 20 hours per year of training is essential. Each employee is expected to abide by all safety rules and regulations of the department and facility. Support Staff is responsible for carrying out the mission, philosophy of care and policies of Key Point. They also perform other duties as needed to achieve program goals and objectives. The role may be responsible for scheduling client appointments as needed and coordinating with treatment team members. Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • No experience required
  • Experience or education related to the population with whom they shall work.
  • Knowledge of the DSM and relevant symptoms of the most common diagnosis within the RRP programs.
  • Proficiency in advocacy skills and case management skills.
  • Ability to express themselves well through writing, interpersonal and oral communication skills.
  • Understanding and sensitivity to serving culturally diverse and/or special needs population while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities
