About The Position

Support Staff is responsible for the comprehensive services offered through on-site and off-site programs. This includes case management, psycho education, crisis intervention, advocacy, and community liaison. The employee abides by the ethics set forth by the agency and the profession as a whole. The Support Staff will not be required to work in conditions including uncomfortable levels of heat, cold, light, or noise. They will not be required to work in an environment in which they feel uncomfortable or that the proposed environment is in any way detrimental to their health. The position may require repetitive use of computer, keyboard, and mouse.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • No experience required
  • Experience or education related to the population with whom they shall work.
  • Knowledge of the DSM and relevant symptoms of the most common diagnosis within the RRP programs.
  • Ability to demonstrate proficiency in advocacy skills and case management skills.
  • Ability to express themselves well through writing, interpersonal and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrate an understanding and sensitivity to serving culturally diverse and/or special needs population while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Timely and accurate completion of all documentation such as shift logs, incident reports, and service notes.
  • Medication monitoring and education to support self-dosing of medication.
  • Teaching community skills including ADLs as needed in both individual and group settings.
  • Assist in the transportation of clients between residences, office, and community locations as needed.
  • Assist other staff as needed.
  • Maintaining their level of skill by completing the required 20 hours per year of training.
  • Abide by all safety rules and regulations of the department and facility.
  • Carrying out the mission, philosophy of care and policies of Key Point.
  • Perform other duties as needed to achieve program goals and objectives.
  • Scheduling client appointments as needed and coordinating with treatment team members.
