About The Position

JRI's Developing Abilities program provides opportunities for people to live in homes and apartments in their communities and to grow through job training, supported employment and day habilitation services. We provide therapeutic and social supports to enrich the lives of people with disabilities. We are looking for Support Specialists to work in our Willow Tree Day Habilitation Programs in Natick and Northboro!

Requirements

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities is required.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work efficiently and independently without direct supervision or colleagues present.
• Valid driver’s license, with the ability to transport individuals in agency vehicles as well as your own vehicle when needed.
• Background checks and driving record evaluations will be conducted.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality supports to adults with developmental disabilities.
• Organize client’s daily activities.
• Implement treatment objectives.
• Organize community outings.
• Maintain case records.
• Teach new work skills.
• Supervise individuals in employment settings.
• Assist individuals in meeting vocational goals.
