About The Position

Northeast Delta Dental is seeking a full-time (37.5 hours/week) onsite Support Services Clerk for their Support Services Department. This role is responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of internal and external mail communications by processing and distributing incoming and outgoing mail, and operating imaging and other office equipment. Requirements

  • High school diploma plus at least six months general experience or an equivalent combination of training, experience, and/or education.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Organizes and distributes mail by opening, sorting, batching and distributing incoming mail.
  • Posts and sends outgoing mail.
  • Creates labels.
  • Attaches X-rays to incoming claims.
  • Retrieves or receives items from the post office and delivery services on a daily basis.
  • Opens and sorts mail by addressee, destination and type.
  • Delivers items to departments several times a day.
  • Drives or operates company vehicles between buildings to make deliveries or retrieve mail, packages, and supplies.
  • Provides dental offices with claim requests by folding and stuffing facsimiles through the folder/inserter.
  • Returns claims and returned checks to dentist offices.
  • Maintains accurate statistics of received paper claims.
  • Ensures retention of documentation by operating imaging equipment for documentation of records.
  • Posts inventory claim numbers in "warroom" and copies imaged claims to an FTP file for retrieval by Rocky Mountain.
  • Operates X-ray imaging equipment by correctly placing X-ray on the scanner.
  • Checks claim number and date of X-ray to assure records are accurate.
  • Maintains an accurate daily received claim count by counting electronic and paper claims.
  • Posts numbers to department pipeline.
  • Updates metered mail records.
  • Completes inventory, logging, and distribution of incoming/outgoing deliveries.
  • Supports mail operations by performing routine maintenance on equipment.
  • Maintains adequate supplies.
  • Follows policies and procedures.
  • Keeps the mail area orderly.
