About The Position

The Support Services Associate I will be responsible for maintaining facility safety, order, and cleanliness and will provide backup assistance to other staff. This role involves performing janitorial duties, assessing and recording safety hazards, conducting regular building checks, and assisting with administrative tasks. The associate will also act as backup to Guest Services, performing Breathalyzer tests and Urine Analysis drug screens, handling office telephones, and providing referrals. Participation in organizational meetings and training is also required.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be able to pass a 4-panel drug screen.

  • Customer Services experience is highly preferred.
  • Previous janitorial experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform janitorial duties, including duties left over from a different shift.
  • Assess and record safety hazards and maintenance needs.
  • Perform random and frequent walks through the entire interior of the building.
  • Record evening report in the staff log at the end of each shift.
  • Do occasional room checks or searches as needed.
  • Assist with a variety of administrative duties.
  • Act as backup to Guest Services by performing Breathalyzer tests and Urine Analysis drug screens for individuals entering the building after curfew or returning from the hospital.
  • Handle office telephones and monitor incoming people.
  • Record and organize messages for clients and staff.
  • Provide referrals for callers when necessary.
  • Participate in organizational meetings, training, and initiatives as required.
  • Perform other duties assigned to support the Mission’s success.
