About The Position

Gordon Truck Centers, Inc. (GTC) is seeking a Support Service Account Manager / Support Service Advisor for its Nampa, ID location. GTC has been serving customer transportation needs since 1986 and operates an extensive network of dealerships including Gordon Truck Centers, Freightliner Northwest, Western Star Northwest, TrailerCraft, Western Bus, and Freightliner of Hawaii. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous Service Advisory experience preferred or one (1) year or more of related experience in a repair facility.
  • Previous customer service experience required.
  • Must be professional and safety-minded at all times.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), including listening skills.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and direction.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical knowledge of heavy-duty vehicles preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and communicate with customers, initiating service write-ups for repairs.
  • Accurately record customer information and requests, preparing written estimates.
  • Schedule and plan shop work in coordination with the service foreman.
  • Communicate effectively with shop management.
  • Collaborate with the team to solve problems.
  • Provide continuous updates to customers/drivers on repair status.
  • Open and close repair orders, enter additional work needed, and verify warranty coverage using the system and processes.
  • Assist in overseeing accurate data entry on all repair orders, ensuring precision in data and codes.
  • Collect purchase order information, warranty details, and/or customer payments.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment using good judgment.
  • Take ownership of new and varied requests, exploring value-added opportunities.
  • Develop and grow within the position.
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.
