About The Position

Gordon Truck Centers, Inc. (GTC) is seeking a Support Service Account Manager / Support Service Advisor for its Nampa, ID location. GTC has been serving transportation needs since 1986 and is a large network of dealerships specializing in Freightliner, Western Star, and Wilson Trailer trucks. They offer a full range of services including sales, financing, insurance, and maintenance for medium and heavy-duty commercial trucks. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous Service Advisory experience preferred or one (1) year or more related experience in a repair facility.
  • Previous customer service experience required.
  • Must be professional and safety-minded at all times.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and listening skills.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision and direction.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Technical knowledge of heavy-duty vehicles preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Making a great first impression with customers and providing outstanding customer service throughout their experience.
  • Greeting and communicating with customers to initiate service write-ups for repairs.
  • Accurately taking customer information, recording their requests, and preparing written estimates.
  • Scheduling and planning shop work directly with the service foreman.
  • Communicating effectively with shop management and problem-solving with the team.
  • Keeping the customer/driver informed about the status of their repair at all times.
  • Opening and closing repair orders, entering other work needed, checking for warranty coverage, and utilizing system processes.
  • Assisting with overseeing correct data entry on all repair orders, ensuring accuracy of data and codes.
  • Collecting purchase order information, warranty information, and/or customer payment.
  • Using good judgment to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Accepting ownership for new and different requests and exploring value-added opportunities.
  • Developing and growing the position.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by business needs.
