About The Position

Boeing Global Services is seeking a Mid-Level Support Equipment Technician to support the USN P-8 program. This position is located in NAS Point Mugu, CA and is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. The role involves assembling, disassembling, and modifying systems by changing, removing, replacing, or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes. It also includes overseeing assembly, disassembly, or overhaul, configuring aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment, and troubleshooting complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to isolate faults and repair components. The technician will perform validation/verification testing, document procedures for compliance, and inspect components for flight worthiness. Training oversight is also a responsibility. The role works under general direction.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience maintaining aircraft Ground Support Equipment.
  • Ability to work all shifts of a 24/7 work schedule.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally on short notice.
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements.
  • Requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Experience with COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 Maintenance Programs and Operating Procedures.
  • Experience as a Collateral Duty Inspector.
  • General automotive servicing experience with an electrical, hydraulic, and internal combustion engine background.

Responsibilities

  • Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.
  • Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul.
  • Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
  • Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
  • Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.
  • Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results).
  • Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements.
  • Oversees training.
