About The Position

Boeing Global Services is seeking a Mid-Level Support Equipment Technician to support the USN P-8 program. This position is located in NAS Point Mugu, CA and is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. The technician will assemble, disassemble, and/or modify systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes. They will also oversee assembly, disassembly or overhaul, and configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment. Troubleshooting complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components, as well as performing validation/verification testing of systems and components are key responsibilities. Documentation of procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results) is also required. The role involves inspecting components and verifying repairs for flight worthiness requirements, and overseeing training. The position works under general direction.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience maintaining aircraft Ground Support Equipment.
  • Ability to work all shifts of a 24/7 work schedule.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally on short notice.
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements.
  • Must be a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Experience with COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 Maintenance Programs and Operating Procedures
  • Experience as a Collateral Duty Inspector
  • General automotive servicing experience with an electrical, hydraulic, and internal combustion engine background.
