About The Position

Merakey is seeking Support Counselors to join their team in Philadelphia, PA. This role involves creating long-term impacts on individuals' lives by encouraging, mentoring, and coaching them to achieve their goals. Responsibilities include following Individual Support Plans, engaging individuals in activities like visiting parks and sensory gardens, working on social and communication skills, and assisting with daily hygiene and personal care to enhance independence. The role also involves teaching daily living activities such as housekeeping and laundry, fostering pride in the individuals served.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

High School diploma/G.E.D. preferred
Experience in a home health aide setting, or school setting working with people who have Intellectual and Developmental disabilities is preferred.
Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential.
Dual Diagnosis experience is preferred.

Responsibilities
