About The Position

The Support CDL Driver fills in on open, vacant, or temporarily unassigned routes to support daily delivery operations. The role requires flexibility to cover varying routes and schedules according to business needs while maintaining safety, service, and delivery standards. The driver delivers and picks up freight from customers and shippers and may travel as required. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, starting at 7:00 AM and continuing until route completion. Variable shifts may be required based on business needs. An estimated 10–15 hours of overtime is expected each week; voluntary weekend overtime may be available as needed. Overtime is paid at time and a half after 40 hours per week. Starting pay is $24.00–$30.75 per hour, based on experience and other relevant factors. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered for CDL Class-A drivers. Requirements

At least 21 years of age.
Hold a valid CDL Class A driver's license or successfully complete the company-paid CDL training program.
Ability to operate a manual transmission.
Possess or have the ability to obtain a doubles/triples endorsement.
Good customer service and organizational skills.
Ability to pass a DOT physical.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform the full range of motion required, including grasping, standing, squatting, climbing stairs, and walking.
Ability to work with various types of freight, including hazardous materials, perishable food, alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals.
Pass a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

Cover open, vacant, or temporarily unassigned routes based on business needs.
Assist drivers with morning duties, including sorting freight and loading trucks.
Deliver and pick up freight from customers and shippers in a timely manner.
Inspect the vehicle and report mechanical problems.
Collect payments as needed.
Verify pickup contents against shipping papers.
Notify management of problems or discrepancies.
Maintain a professional personal appearance and keep the vehicle clean.
Participate in weekly meetings and communicate goals and assignments.
Travel as required.
Perform other required duties as assigned.
