Incumbent serves as Part-Time Support Assistant for the Sheriff, responsible for providing assistance to support department personnel. This role involves assisting the purchasing agent with inventory and expenditures, maintaining knowledge of department supplies and equipment, researching and preparing specifications for new equipment, and assisting with equipment serviceability. The position also supports the training coordinator, validates and enters warrants, performs clerical duties such as typing, faxing, scanning, and locating records, and may perform duties of the warrants and tax warrant departments. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid Indiana Driver's License, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment while managing multiple tasks amidst distractions.
