About The Position

Reporting directly to the CFO Associate Manager, the Support and Test Equipment (STE) Support Specialist is responsible to perform scheduled and corrective maintenance of CH148 Aircraft Maintenance Support Equipment and Test Equipment. Ensuring that the necessary STE and tools required for the Maritime Helicopter maintenance program are available at Customer Service Points of Issue (CSPI) and in Pack-Up Kits for deployments when required.

Requirements

  • Post Secondary Degree / diploma and 2 years related experience; or 6 years relevant experience
  • Computer literate and working knowledge of MS office suite (mandatory)
  • Possess excellent communication skills
  • Function effectively in English (verbal and written)
  • Team player, strong problem solving skills, resourceful, organized, being capable to prioritize in an short delay environment, customer oriented
  • Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance
  • Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)

Responsibilities

  • Performing scheduled and corrective maintenance on CH148 Support and Test Equipment IAW approved maintenance procedures
  • Performing scheduled and corrective maintenance on Common and Special Tools
  • Inspecting and maintaining Hanger Floor STE in Operational Hangers
  • Inspecting and maintaining Shop Tool Boards and Servicing Boards
  • Ensuring Calibration schedules are maintained for Test Equipment and Torque wrenches
  • Ensuring Tool Control policy is implemented and stringently followed
  • Ensuring all PUK STE requirements are met
  • Addressing STE or Tool shortages as required
  • Training of DND Technicians to perform STE & Tool Maintenance while deployed
  • Assuming the duties of CSPI Employee during periods of personnel shortages
  • Working rotation shifts day and evening
  • Maintaining a Continuous Improvement program
