About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Equipment Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is a primary contact point responsible for providing in-depth technical support for all innovateIT car wash equipment.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong customer service and technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Solid understanding of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business software systems (CRM/ERP).
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time and for as long as 1 week to customer locations across the country.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with PLC systems (e.g., Omron, Allen-Bradley) and related software, preferred.
  • Familiarity with car wash equipment and operations, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver remote and on-site technical support for installations, startups, and ongoing operations.
  • Diagnose and resolve hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues.
  • Support field service technicians with technical guidance and troubleshooting assistance.
  • Assist customers and field personnel with system integration, wiring, and networking (Ethernet/IP, TCP/IP, etc.).
  • Aid in equipment commissioning including mechanical and electrical installation, calibration, programming, and testing.
  • Work with contractors, trades, and service personnel during installations and service events.
  • Maintain detailed field service and installation documentation.
  • Process parts orders, sales orders, and warranty orders in ERP systems.
  • Assist in reviewing sales proposals for accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate customer deposits and final payments.
  • Identify and communicate root causes of technical issues to engineering teams.
  • Provide field feedback to improve product design, installation, and maintenance processes.
  • Assist in updating technical documentation and troubleshooting guides.
  • Redline and update design documentation as needed based on field conditions.
