About The Position

The Supply Technician 1 is responsible for the overall management of inventory in assigned nursing and/or ancillary unit(s) as it relates to supply replenishment, maximizing quality, minimizing costs and supporting department goals within supply chain objectives.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Arizona Drivers License with a 39 month verification of driving record from the Arizona Department of Transportation
  • Colleagues must have an understanding of computers, and competence in using computers and basic software programs.

Responsibilities

  • Picks orders utilizing the handheld scanner.
  • Utilizes lawson to identify products.
  • Delivers orders to clinical areas.
  • Cycle Count assigned areas.
  • Participates in annual year end physical inventory count.
  • Responsible for outdate management (first in, first out (FIFO) and bin rotation).
  • Answers emergency phone and supply requests.
  • Provides information regarding the supplies available in the warehouse.
  • Ensures existing inventory is issued and distributed.
  • Ensures consumable supplies are controlled to reduce obsolescence, outdates and waste by utilizing product rotation, outdate management and by communicating with the Supply Chain Leadership team.
  • Serves as a liaison for all replenishment orders and phone calls for emergent products.
  • Ensures timely order records, receiving records, packing slips etc.
  • Documents and reports inventory discrepancies (shortages and damaged products).
  • Teaches colleagues the standard inventory replenishment procedures.
  • Responsible for reporting any safety-related incident in a timely fashion through the Midas/RDE tool; attends all safety-related training programs; performs work in a safe manner; monitors work environment for possible safety issues and ensures others are also performing work in a safe manner.
  • Stays current and complies with state and federal regulations/statutes and company policies that impact the employee's area of responsibility.
  • If required for the position, ensures all certifications and/or licenses are up-to-date and valid prior to expiration dates.
  • Completes all company mandatory modules and required job-specific training in the specified time frame.
