About The Position

The Supply Tech maintains par supply areas by ordering, stocking, replenishing, and delivering supplies to hospital or clinic areas. The role also manages storeroom supplies and performs periodic cycle counting. The Supply Tech uses inventory management systems and handheld devices in accordance with policies and procedures, checks products throughout the hospital and clinic for outdates and recalls, and keeps supply areas clean and organized.

This is a casual/per-diem position at Scripps Mercy Hospital Chula Vista with varied shifts, mostly weekend PM shifts (12:00 p.m.–8:30 p.m.) and PTO coverage days (5:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m.).

Requirements

• 2–3 years of supply experience.
• Ability to speak, read, and follow instructions in English.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• High school graduate.
• Ability to use computer systems, inventory management tools and systems, and handheld devices.
• Pass an initial 90-day competency assessment and yearly competency assessments related to the position.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of medical supplies preferred.
