About The Position

Weyerhaeuser’s Wood Products Supply Chain team is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Supply Planner I to join our Supply Planning team. This role is an excellent opportunity for an early-career supply chain professional to build foundational planning expertise while supporting mill operations across our Wood Products network. The Supply Planner I plays a key role in supporting mill-specific supply planning activities by monitoring production schedules, inventory levels, and customer order requirements. Working within a structured planning framework, this position focuses on learning and applying core supply chain principles while collaborating closely with mill schedulers, sales, transportation, and customer service teams. This role is ideal for someone who is analytical, eager to learn, dependable, and thrives in a team-oriented environment. The Supply Planner I will develop core capabilities in ERP systems, reporting, and cross-functional communication while contributing to reliable, efficient, and customer-focused operations. Requirements

  • Associate’s degree (2-year) or 2+ years of relevant professional experience in supply planning, manufacturing, operations, business, logistics, or related fields (internships included) required.
  • Foundational understanding of supply chain concepts such as inventory management, production planning, or logistics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ability to learn new systems and tools quickly.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a structured, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong learning agility and willingness to seek feedback and coaching.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA or similar).
  • Exposure to planning, manufacturing, or logistics environments through internships or prior roles.
  • Familiarity with reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Interest in developing a long-term career in supply chain planning or operations.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and apply tactical supply planning fundamentals to support weekly production schedules and finished goods inventory targets for assigned mills.
  • Support weekly order file management, ensuring alignment between production plans, inventory availability, and customer commitments.
  • Build working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA) and sales support tools (C4C), using them to monitor orders, inventory, and production data.
  • Monitor key planning reports and metrics to proactively identify potential supply or service risks and escalate as needed.
  • Coordinate with mill schedulers, transportation, sales, and customer service teams to communicate updates and resolve short-term disruptions.
  • Assist in managing near-term issues such as shipping delays, missed production, inventory imbalances, or late orders.
  • Develop foundational understanding of S&OP processes
  • Maintain and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and planning accuracy.
  • Build strong working relationships with mill operations and cross-functional partners to support effective execution.
  • Continuously develop analytical and planning skills through training, coaching, and hands-on experience.

Benefits

  • This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $53,318-$80,047 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 5% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.
