Supply Chain Technician - St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital
About The Position
The Supply Chain Technician maintains inventory and orderly supply stock locations and delivers shipments, supplies, and equipment throughout the hospital campus. The role builds replenishment orders, delivers and puts away replenishment stock in assigned departments, and participates in stock inventories and cycle counts. It also involves disinfecting, storing, and delivering movable medical equipment, as well as maintaining inventory, expiration dates, and delivery of clinical and specialty carts and trays. This is a collective bargaining unit position in the Supply Chain - Field Ops department. The schedule is 40 hours per week, with all work shifts listed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Skills in data entry, effective and efficient use of resources, safety, attention to detail, teamwork, active listening, inventory management, movable equipment cleaning and delivery, communication, time management, supply rotation, and infection control.

Responsibilities
- Maintain inventory and orderliness in assigned medical supply stock locations, ensuring supplies are adequately stocked, locations are clean and dust-free, and bins and carts are neatly arranged and accessible.
- Check expiration dates, rotate stock, monitor usage rates, and notify the leader when par levels or inventory levels are inadequate.
- Replenish perpetual inventory locations.
- Retrieve, clean, store, and deliver movable medical equipment, returning it to ready-for-use staging.
- Participate in cycle counts and periodic inventories as directed by the Supervisor.
- Reconstitute critical care and specialty carts and trays and ensure tray contents are within expiration dates.
- Transport equipment, supplies, specimens, and mail to various locations based on customer needs.
- Safely transport medical gases between storage locations and maintain medical gas inventories.
