Supply Chain Technician - St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital
About The Position
The Supply Chain Technician maintains inventory and orderly supply stock locations and delivers shipments, supplies, and equipment throughout the hospital campus. The role builds orders for replenishment stock, delivers and puts away replenishment stock in assigned departments, and participates in inventories and cycle counts. The technician also disinfects, stores, and delivers movable medical equipment, and maintains inventory, expiration dates, and delivery of clinical and specialty carts and trays. This is a collective bargaining unit position in the Supply Chain - Field Ops department. The scheduled workweek is 40 hours, on the day shift. The job description notes that this list is not exhaustive and that additional job-related duties may be assigned by a supervisor, subject to reasonable accommodation.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Skills in data entry, effective use of resources, safety, attention to detail, teamwork, active listening, inventory management, cleaning and delivery of movable equipment, communication, time management, supply rotation, and infection control.

Responsibilities
- Maintain inventory and orderly medical supply stock locations, keeping them adequately stocked, clean, dust-free, and arranged for easy access.
- Monitor expiration dates, rotate stock, track usage, and notify a leader when par levels or inventory levels are inadequate.
- Replenish perpetual inventory locations.
- Retrieve, clean, store, and deliver movable medical equipment, returning it to ready-for-use staging.
- Participate in cycle counts and periodic inventories as directed by the Supervisor.
- Reconstitute critical care and specialty carts and trays, ensuring contents are within expiration dates.
- Transport equipment, supplies, specimens, and mail to locations based on customer needs.
- Safely transport medical gases between storage locations and maintain medical gas inventories.
