About The Position

This position is responsible for coordinating the activities of Supply Chain Material Handlers and Coordinators. Key responsibilities include managing inventory, ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining safety and quality standards, and facilitating communication between production operators and the supply chain team. The role requires proficiency in operating forklifts, managing dock and door functions, and performing shipping/receiving duties. Additionally, the Team Lead is expected to uphold a high level of professionalism, ensure compliance with company policies, and report any issues or deviations to supervisors.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a point of contact for production operators regarding inventory, BOM related, or replenishment needs.
  • Ensure forklift charging, equalizing, and watering is performed on a regular basis.
  • Perform monthly empty Chep and Peco pallet inventory count.
  • Perform safe operation of all dock and door functions, including “lock-out-tag-out,” forklift safety, and safety reports.
  • Perform shipping/receiving and distribution functions including loading/unloading of trucks, staging for production lines, directing deliveries, setting up trailers for production use, dispatching loaded finished good trailers.
  • Escalate any equipment issues such as breakdowns and or malfunctions to supervisor in order to setup service appointments.
  • Coordinate inventory counts when sent out by planning.
  • Ensure PPE and GMP guidelines are being followed.
  • Coordinate activities of the Supply Chain Material Handlers and Coordinators.
  • Identify, track, recondition, and communicate to forklift drivers and supervision the occurrence of unacceptable packaging and product.
  • Complete monthly safety and quality observations by the end of the fiscal month.
  • Report to QA immediately any packaging material or ingredient quality issues. Take pictures if/when needed.
  • Verify BOM’s and materials at beginning and end of each shift and escalate any shortages to supervisor and/or planners.
  • Follow escalation process.
  • Ensure SC employees are utilizing time wisely and completing tasks accordingly.
  • Receive raw and packaging materials into SAP upon delivery.
  • Maintain a clean work environment by verifying compliance with the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS). Ensure daily, weekly, monthly signoffs are conducted.
  • Seize opportunities to create space in the warehouse.
  • Notify supervisor when deviation from the process is noticed.
  • Check call-out line to verify attendance/absenteeism information and facilitate coverage.
