Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • 5+ years of experience in purchasing, planning, materials, or supply chain within manufacturing.
  • 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management and production planning.

Nice To Haves

  • EMS manufacturing experience preferred.
  • APICS/CPIM certification preferred.
  • Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced Excel and ERP system proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily purchasing, planning, inventory control, and material management activities.
  • Ensure material availability to support production schedules and customer commitments.
  • Coordinate priorities to resolve material shortages and minimize production disruptions.
  • Monitor inventory levels and inventory accuracy.
  • Escalate supplier performance issues and partner with Corporate Supply Chain when needed.
  • Support ERP/MRP planning accuracy and material visibility.
  • Support Lean and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve material flow, inventory accuracy, and department efficiency.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements within the Supply Chain function.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Program Management, Quality, and Finance to support production.
  • Communicate material risks, shortages, and recovery plans.
  • Coordinate activities across departments to meet customer delivery commitments.
  • Monitor supplier delivery and quality performance.
  • Work with suppliers to resolve delivery issues.
  • Support supplier scorecards and performance reviews.
  • Coordinate with Corporate Supply Chain on sourcing and supplier initiatives.
  • Supervise the daily activities of the Supply Chain team.
  • Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback.
  • Assign work, establish priorities, and promote accountability.
  • Support employee development and foster a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
