The Supply Chain Supervisor is a working Supervisor position responsible for the purchasing and management of warehouse inventory and supporting the five utilities within the Fort Pierce Utilities Authority. Lead and develop warehouse personnel while managing daily schedules, enforcing compliance, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement. This position will report to the Purchasing, Fleet and Supply Chain Manager. NOTE: There are also secondary functions that the employee will be required to perform. Ensures warehouse inventory is well-managed; re-order and max thresholds are reviewed regularly, and replenishments happen timely to avoid stock-outs. Leverages available data to determine good inventory quote/buy decisions. Maintain good relations with vendors, distributors, etc. Stay attune to market trends, etc. communicate with Engineering to ensure general market condition(s) awareness. Reviews requisitions to ensure buy recommendations are best value in consideration of price and lead-time. Facilitates problem resolution with vendor/suppliers as needed. Develops and maintains policies and procedures for department. Lead, coach, and support warehouse personnel by establishing performance expectations, conducting training, ensuring procedural compliance, and managing daily schedules to foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Performs special assignments and other related work, as required.
