About The Position

At STERIS, we help our Customers create a healthier and safer world by providing innovative healthcare and life science product and service solutions around the globe. As a Supply Chain Summer Assistant, you will work closely with the Materials department to design and implement a well-organized supermarket system. This initiative will involve creating a series of detailed kanban cards, which will facilitate efficient inventory management and streamline workflow processes.

Requirements

High School Diploma or a General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
Strong typing skills with a minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute.
Proficiency in proper grammar, punctuation, and formatting.
College student pursuing a bachelor’s or associate degree.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Effective presentation skills for both large and small groups.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
Proficient in computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office software products.
A minimum of one year of relevant work experience, ideally in an office environment or a role involving administrative support.
Familiarity with standard office procedures.
Ability to work collaboratively with a team.

Responsibilities

Design and implement a well-organized supermarket system.
Create detailed kanban cards for efficient inventory management and workflow processes.
Perform computer tasks including accurate data entry, creation of various forms, design of kanban cards, and development of comprehensive work instructions.
Conduct training sessions for team members.
Carry out audits to ensure compliance with newly implemented processes.
Be prepared for additional assignments based on workload and availability.
Engage in hands-on work including light lifting, maintaining workspace cleanliness, and responding to miscellaneous requests.
