About The Position

Position Summary As a Supply Chain Summer Assistant you will be responsible work closely with the Materials department to design and implement a well-organized supermarket system. This initiative will involve creating a series of detailed kanban cards, which will facilitate efficient inventory management and streamline workflow processes.

Requirements

  • Must possess a High School Diploma or a General Educational Development (GED) certificate, demonstrating foundational academic skills and knowledge.
  • Candidates must demonstrate strong typing skills, with a minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute, ensuring efficiency in data entry and communication tasks.
  • Proficiency in proper grammar, punctuation, and formatting is highly valued.
  • College student pursuing a bachelor’s or associate degree
  • Demonstrates strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Has excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Possesses effective presentation skills for both large and small groups.
  • Displays strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Proficient in computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office software products.
  • A minimum of one year of relevant work experience is required, ideally in an office environment or a role that involves administrative support. This experience should include familiarity with standard office procedures and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.

Responsibilities

  • Computer tasks involve a range of activities, including accurate data entry, the creation of various forms, the design of kanban cards for efficient workflow management, and the development of comprehensive work instructions.
  • Conduct training sessions for team members and carry out audits to ensure compliance with the newly implemented processes.
  • Be prepared for additional assignments that may arise based on workload and availability, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Engage in hands-on work that includes light lifting, maintaining cleanliness in the workspace, and responding to various miscellaneous requests to support overall team operations.
