About The Position

The Supply Chain Specialist supports material movement, packaging, shipping, and receiving in a composite manufacturing environment. The role has three progressive levels: Level 1 develops foundational expertise in one core area—packing, shipping, or receiving; Level 2 works across two areas; and Level 3 performs all three functions to support end-to-end material flow. The position builds cross-functional skills, supports operational flexibility, and provides opportunities for progression. Across all levels, the specialist monitors and works toward established KPIs, including efficiency and safety compliance, maintains a clean and organized work area, performs additional duties as assigned, and upholds Polygon’s Core Values: Safety, Deliver Quality, Initiative, Collaboration, and Innovation.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (GED or HSE).
Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Effective organizational and communication skills.
Team-oriented and adaptable, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
High level of integrity and confidentiality.
Level 2: 1–2 years of combined experience across two supply chain functions.
Level 3: 3 or more years of experience across packing, shipping, and receiving in a manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

Forklift certification.
Level 1: Experience in warehouse, packing, or shipping operations.
Level 3: Familiarity with ERP, MRP, or WMS systems.

Responsibilities

Perform daily tasks in an assigned core area: packing, shipping, or receiving.
Maintain accurate documentation, labeling, and system updates.
Communicate with drivers, carriers, and internal teams as required.
At Level 2, perform responsibilities across two of the three core areas and cross-train or support peers to balance workload.
Assist with inventory checks, material flow, and staging activities.
Coordinate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve efficiency.
Support process improvement initiatives.
At Level 3, perform tasks across packing, shipping, and receiving.
Manage incoming and outgoing shipments, including inspection, documentation, and carrier coordination.
Prepare, package, label, and stage outbound materials according to specifications.
Oversee receiving activities, verify deliveries against purchase orders, and report discrepancies.
Provide training and guidance to Level 1 and Level 2 specialists.
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
Contribute to LEAN initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
Monitor and work toward established KPIs, including efficiency and safety compliance.
Keep the work area clean and organized to prevent safety hazards.
Perform additional duties as assigned and uphold Polygon’s Core Values.
