About The Position

A growing organization is seeking a Supply Chain & Purchasing Specialist to support purchasing, inventory management, and global supply chain operations. This position plays an important role in ensuring inventory is purchased accurately, inbound shipments remain on schedule, and internal teams have reliable information regarding product availability. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who enjoys managing multiple priorities and working across purchasing, inventory, logistics, and supplier coordination. The successful candidate will be comfortable following established processes while also identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

• Experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory control, supply chain, logistics, or a related administrative function.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, particularly for tracking and reporting.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accurate data entry and documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple open purchase orders, supplier communications, and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with international suppliers.
• Basic understanding of inventory concepts, lead times, inbound logistics, and product movement.
• Strong organizational and follow-through skills.
• Ability to learn established processes quickly; additional training will be provided.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP system is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Submit purchase orders based on approved reorder points, safety stock requirements, and purchasing schedules.
• Maintain accurate tracking of open purchase orders, including supplier confirmations, expected ship dates, ETAs, and delays.
• Process purchase order receipts within the company’s ERP system, ensuring quantities, costs, and item receipts are accurate.
• Maintain inventory and purchasing reports, including months-on-hand, inbound inventory, and SKU movement classifications.
• Monitor international production and shipping schedules and maintain accurate expected delivery timelines.
• Communicate regularly with overseas suppliers regarding production status, shipping documentation, order changes, and container schedules.
• Track drop-ship orders from placement through customer delivery and assist in resolving discrepancies or delays.
• Coordinate with warehouse, accounting, account management, and other internal teams to support smooth inbound and outbound inventory flow.
• Maintain organized digital records for purchase orders, invoices, shipping documentation, and receiving records.
• Support purchasing leadership with reporting, data analysis, inventory visibility, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
