The Purchasing Specialist II is responsible for maintaining inventory levels for assigned supplier lines consistent with the business plan to maximize sales, inventory turns, and return on inventory. This role involves processing purchases, orders, and returns for hardware, software, and subscriptions/licenses, updating ETAs in SAP, managing open orders, resolving discrepancies, leading stock rotations, and managing slow-moving or obsolete inventory. The specialist will also monitor the sales pipeline, work with the Supplier Business Manager, and maintain relationships with supplier partners and ScanSource sales teams.
