About The Position

This role involves leading the sourcing, negotiation, and purchase of automotive parts, materials, and components from both domestic and international suppliers. The coordinator will be responsible for securing the best total cost of ownership by negotiating favorable pricing, payment terms, lead times, and quality standards. A key aspect of the role is overseeing all import/export documentation, including HTS codes, commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and other trade compliance requirements. Additionally, the position requires coordinating international freight movements via ocean, air, and ground transport, and ensuring adherence to U.S. Customs regulations, Section 232/301 tariffs, and other trade policies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on purchasing experience, with at least 3 years focused on global sourcing and international imports
• Deep expertise in import/export regulations, customs compliance, and international shipping documentation
• Proficient in HTS codes, tariff structures, and complex trade compliance rules
• Proven track record of successful negotiations to secure favorable terms and optimize total cost of ownership
• Adept at using ERP/procurement software and advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
