About The Position

Arrowhead Winch engineers and manufactures industrial winch, hoist and drive systems under the BRADEN, CARCO and Gearmatic brand names in Broken Arrow and Okmulgee, Oklahoma. We are seeking a talented individual to join our Purchasing Team in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Arrowhead Winch does require applicants to complete a background check, drug test, and pre-employment physical as a condition of employment. Purchasing Internship Position Overview: Arrowhead Winch is seeking an Intern to support our Purchasing Team. This position is responsible for purchasing assigned commodities, based on requirements and exercising independent judgment. Position will be responsible for supplier management, supplier development and other project management as assigned.

Requirements

Pursuing a Bachelor level degree in Supply Chain Management or similar field.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, software proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Team player, self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision
Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments concurrently with changing priorities.

Responsibilities

Reviews supplier pricing, quality and delivery to determine selection of suppliers
Coordinates cross functional teams as necessary for project completion
Performs order follow-up for timely delivery in support of schedule
Monitors supplier performance using Quality, Cost and Delivery metrics
Organizes and leads improvement projects, and resourcing efforts utilizing 6-Sigma tools or other problem-solving tools
Communicate and conduct supplier business reviews with plant and division personnel at all management levels
Other duties as assigned
