About The Position

The Supply Chain Purchasing Intern will work with the Supply Chain Management team at Inteva’s World Headquarters in Troy, Michigan. The role provides hands-on experience supporting a manufacturing company’s supply chain function and the opportunity to work on meaningful projects. The summer internship runs from May 2027 through August 2027 and is full-time. The Summer 2027 Intern Program also includes executive lunch-and-learns, professional workshops, group volunteering opportunities, and participation in a cohort of summer interns.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• High level of analytical ability and problem-solving skills.
• Comfort working with and organizing numbers and data.
• Ability to work in a team environment and build relationships.
• Comfort speaking and presenting in large groups.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Support Commodity Purchasing Teams while developing procurement skills and experience.
• Assist Buyers with operational issues involving supplier setups, the quote process, and issuing or updating Purchase Orders (POs).
• Create sourcing documents, including Business Award Summaries (BAS).
• Support Change Management (ECR/ECN), Supplier Problem Cases (PCs), and Cost Recoveries (CRs).
• Assist with delivery and quality concerns.
• Manage Material Cost Performance System (MCPS) data.
• Support Plex (MRP system) Master Data Management and supplier payments.
• Perform administrative tasks and prepare management reports and presentations as requested.
