About The Position

The Supply Chain Management Internship at nVent provides an opportunity to support various facets of the supply management function, gaining exposure and valuable development experiences within a global manufacturing organization. This is a 12-week full-time internship during summer 2027. Interns will analyze spend, perform detailed supply market analysis, lead data harmonizing efforts, create standard reporting templates, develop and document common processes, and make recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations. They will also design and develop specific supply chain initiatives to achieve competitive advantage and improve responsiveness to customer demand. The internship experience includes exposure to leadership, development opportunities, and networking with other early career professionals. Training and development are provided through on-the-job experiences and structured learning opportunities. Interns join a community of other early career professionals, with a peer-led committee organizing social, professional, and service-related activities. They can also join Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) for networking, professional development, and volunteer opportunities. Mentorship and networking opportunities with peers, managers, and senior leaders are also available.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, engineering or operations management.
Graduating with an undergraduate degree between December 2027 and June 2028
Ability to complete a 12-week full-time summer internship from June-August 2027
Authorized to work in the United States without restrictions now or in the future
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Excellent attention to detail and organization skills
Willingness to learn and to work collaboratively with all levels within the organization
Energy to listen, desire to learn and ability to be resilient and adaptable through change
Strong work ethic and personal responsibility to see things through to completion

Nice To Haves

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experience with data analytics and data visualization tools (Tableau, etc.)
Demonstrated leadership experience
Previous internship or related experience
