About The Position

nVent’s Quality Internship will provide the opportunity to support a variety of facets of day to day plant quality support, gaining exposure and valuable development experiences within a global manufacturing organization. This is a 12-week full-time internship during the summer 2027.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Supply Chain Management.
  • Graduating with an undergraduate degree between December 2027 and June 2028.
  • Ability to complete a 12-week Full-Time Summer internship from May/June-August 2027 in Anoka, MN
  • Candidates applying for nVent's Co-Op and Internship Program must have current work authorization and be legally authorized to work in the U.S. nVent does not provide work authorization sponsorship.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organization skills
  • Willingness to learn and to work collaboratively with all levels within the organization

  • Strong work ethic and personal responsibility to see things through to completion

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

  • Support the production of high-quality products through the continual improvement of process and product quality and the systems that surround them
  • Work with cross-functional teams to Investigate and resolve quality defects
  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data; making recommendations.
  • Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions utilizing industry standard tools such as 8D, 7-step corrective actions
  • Use statistical analysis software to develop and interpret quality metrics
  • Conduct quality planning activities
  • Quality control plan development and execution, conducting measurement system analysis, conducting process capability studies (Cp, Cpk), implementing statistical process control (SPC), development and maintenance of process failure mode and effects analysis (PFMEA), implementation of mistake proofing.
  • Other duties as assigned
