About The Position

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Supply Chain Project Manager – Level 5 to join our team. This position will be remote with priority for candidates near the Huntsville, AL, location for occasional onsite work, but will also consider applicants who prefer to work at the Chandler, AZ, location. Occasional travel may be required. Seeking a highly skilled candidates to oversee complex propulsion components and drive successful program execution. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of supplier performance, ensuring alignment with program objectives, and delivering on-time results. This role requires a leadership mindset, strong technical acumen, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree with 12 years of related experience and in a technical field or engineering and project management, OR a Master’s degree with 10 years of related experience and in a technical field or engineering and project management
  • Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Project and IMS Logic
  • Must have material requirements planning and/or advanced planning experience
  • Must have experience with complex machined parts including welding and special processes

Responsibilities

  • Lead program execution for propulsion-related supplier activities, ensuring milestones are met, and objectives are achieved.
  • Identify, assess, and manage risks and opportunities to mitigate challenges and optimize supplier performance.
  • Track supplier milestone completion and invoicing for forecast accuracy
  • Drive resolution of technical issues in collaboration with suppliers, cross-functional teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide frequent, detailed program status updates to internal teams, ensuring leadership and stakeholders are informed of progress, risks, and solutions.
  • Manage and overseeing proposal efforts, including supplier coordination and cost analysis to align with program requirements.
  • Coordinate and conduct supplier site visits as needed to ensure program compliance, facilitate collaboration, and drive issue resolution.
  • Lead a team of individuals in a dynamic, fast-paced Program environment with responsibilities including rapid requirements execution, standard parts ordering, scrap/spare/replacement planning and serve as a GSC liaison to the Program Operations and GSC Execution IPTs
