About The Position

Power Monitors, Inc. (PMI) is seeking a Supply Chain & Procurement Manager to own the company's supply chain strategy, materials, suppliers, inventory strategy, and procurement results. This is a new leadership role created to address the challenges of a component market defined by volatile lead times, allocation risk, and engineering-driven substitutions. The position reports directly to the Vice President of Operations and will have significant authority and visibility in company results. The role involves working with modern tools, including NetSuite for ERP/MRP and extensive use of AI for analytics, dashboards, and automation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in procurement, materials management, or supply chain within manufacturing (electronics manufacturing strongly preferred).
  • Proven track record of improving a purchasing or inventory operation.
  • Fluency in ERP/MRP systems (NetSuite experience is essential) and strong analytical skills in Excel.
  • Curiosity about AI tools or hands-on experience using them.
  • Negotiation experience and the ability to balance cost, quality, timing, and risk.
  • An owner's temperament: investigate root causes, prevent problems, and ensure completion.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

  • CPIM, CSCP, or CPSM certification.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire procurement function: strategy, policy, execution, and results.
  • Manage supplier relationships and negotiations for electronic components, mechanical parts, and MRO, considering cost, quality, delivery, and risk.
  • Develop and manage inventory strategy, including stocking levels, safety stock, and reorder logic, balancing inventory investment with production continuity.
  • Ensure MRP discipline in NetSuite and redesign planning workflows, utilizing AI-assisted analysis and automation.
  • Manage material readiness for new product introductions, collaborating with engineering on sourcing and substitutions.
  • Develop and report on supply chain metrics and AI-powered dashboards to the management team, including on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, PPV, and lead-time risk.
  • Define and build the future supply chain team as the company grows.
