About The Position

Carolina Beverage Group is a world-class specialty beverage co-packer for a variety of carbonated and non-carbonated drinks including teas, functional beverages, energy drinks and juice-based products as well as distilled spirits and malt-based beverages. We are currently seeking a Procurement and Supply Chain Analyst working 100% in office at our Mooresville, NC corporate headquarters. The Procurement Analyst supports the Director of Purchasing by providing analytical, sourcing, and project management support for the Company's procurement operations. This role analyzes supplier performance, pricing, spending patterns, market conditions, and demand trends to support strategic sourcing decisions, forecasting, and cost management initiatives. The Procurement Analyst serves as a key liaison between suppliers and internal stakeholders, coordinating supplier qualifications, packaging implementation projects, and resolution efforts to ensure continuity of supply and operational effectiveness. This position plays an important role in driving supplier performance, identifying cost savings opportunities, improving procurement processes, and maintaining a reliable and cost-effective supply chain.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, operations, or an analytical business role is required.
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable business insights.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, reporting, and modeling.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships internally and externally.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a cross-functional team environment.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and adapt to changing business needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, food and beverage, or consumer packaged goods environment is preferred.
  • Experience supporting strategic sourcing, supplier management, forecasting, new product implementation, or procurement projects is preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems, including SAP, is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support strategic sourcing initiatives through supplier evaluations, market research, cost analysis, and procurement projects.
  • Analyze supplier quotations, pricing trends, market conditions, customer demand, and material consumption patterns to support sourcing strategies and forecasting activities.
  • Assist in the development and evaluation of Requests for Proposal (RFPs), bid analyses, supplier recommendations, and cost savings initiatives.
  • Coordinate the qualification, testing, and implementation of new ingredients and packaging materials by partnering with Manufacturing, Quality, Planning, and suppliers.
  • Serve as the primary procurement resource for supplier-related service, quality, delivery, and supply issues, facilitating timely resolution and follow-up.
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze supplier performance metrics, including quality, delivery, responsiveness, and overall supplier effectiveness.
  • Prepare and maintain procurement reports, spend analyses, supplier scorecards, forecast models, and key performance indicators.
  • Maintain supplier agreements, pricing records, and procurement data to ensure accuracy, compliance, and effective supplier management.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve supplier performance, mitigate risk, and increase supply chain efficiency.
  • Manage the Company's forklift fleet program, including lease administration, maintenance coordination, vendor management, asset tracking, utilization reporting, and replacement planning across multiple facilities.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers and cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing, Planning, Quality, Accounting, Sales, and Operations.
  • Support procurement activities for ingredients, packaging materials, capital purchases, and indirect spending categories as assigned.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and special projects that support organizational objectives.
