About The Position

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems has an opening for a Supply Chain Planning Specialist (level 2) to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals at our San Diego, CA location. This position will require you to be onsite fulltime. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience in supply chain and/or material planning in a manufacturing or aerospace environment; A Master's degree ; OR in lieu of degree a High School Diploma with 6 years experience in supply chain and/or material planning in a manufacturing or aerospace environment
• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems
• Knowledge/experience in Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)
• US Citizenship

Nice To Haves

• Experience with cost, schedule, variance reporting
• Proficient excel and analytical skills
• Control Account Manager (CAM) experience and certification
• Experience with Federal and Defense Contracting requirements including FAR/DFARS
• Experience with Supply Chain metrics, and driving performance to targets
• Demonstrated ability to influence team members, interact with peers and all levels of management in the organization

Responsibilities

• Develop supply chain strategy and lead activities for GSC in all phases of planning and execution
• Manage suppliers on cost, schedule, quality, and performance
• Assess material shortages, flag time-critical purchases, and drive acceleration
• Manage, report, and forecast material cost/performance of assigned program(s)
• Managing the material budget for contract requirements while supporting baseline/EVMS requirements
• Maintain delivery performance metrics
• Coordinate cross-functionally, directs communication, coordinates with Suppliers, and integrates efforts across all GSC functions
• Align project scope and deliverables with customer requirements and works closely with the technical community
• Brief the GSCPM, Program Management, and Operations on the status, Risk & Opportunities, and issues affecting GSC program performance
