About The Position

Mohawk Global is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented student to contribute to its supply chain operations as an intern in the Edison, New Jersey office, starting in summer 2027. The role supports branch import operations and freight forwarding, with work that contributes to client service and the company's industry reputation. The intern will develop their analytical and business skills in a fast-paced third-party logistics environment, collaborate with team members, and participate in meetings to learn company processes.

Requirements

Be a matriculated rising undergraduate student majoring in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related discipline.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Polished, professional verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to accuracy and detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, and receptiveness to professional feedback regarding developmental opportunities.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Self-motivation.
Ability to multitask effectively.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

Support branch import operations, including opening shipment files and auditing documentation.
Match available freight loads with carrier options.
Track shipments and contact carriers.
Perform data entry and analysis to support decision-making and filing.
Assist with other duties as instructed by the leadership team.
Conduct industry research using the internet.
Participate in meetings to observe company processes and enhance learning.
Communicate with carriers and agents to build long-term partnerships and sell Mohawk services.
Negotiate pricing and prepare client quotes.
Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals.
