About The Position

IEM is seeking motivated, hands-on interns to support a critical material flow and warehouse transformation initiative in their Jacksonville operations. This is a fast-paced, high-impact opportunity to gain real-world experience in supply chain, manufacturing operations, and logistics. Interns will play a key role in improving material readiness, implementing replenishment strategies (Kanban), and supporting end-to-end material flow across multiple facilities. This role is ideal for individuals who want to work on the floor, learn operations firsthand, and contribute to meaningful process improvements. This position requires 100% in-office presence in our Jacksonville, FL offices and does not offer remote work. Candidates must currently reside in the Jacksonville Metropolitan area.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business, or related field
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to be “boots on the ground”, hands-on in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working both on the warehouse floor and an office setting
  • Demonstrated career ambition with a track record of growth and increasing responsibility; highly promotable with the potential to take on broader leadership roles within a fast-paced, high-growth organization

Responsibilities

  • Support implementation of material replenishment strategies (e.g., Kanban systems)
  • Assist with end-to-end material flow improvements across facilities
  • Perform data entry, tracking, and analysis in Excel
  • Help set up physical infrastructure (labels, bins, whiteboards, Kanban cards, etc.)
  • Organize, label, and sort materials within the warehouse
  • Assist in training operators and material handlers on new processes and systems
  • Conduct audits and ensure data/system accuracy
  • Support warehouse system updates and transformation initiatives
  • Collaborate with supply chain, operations, and purchasing teams
  • Assist with basic purchasing or commodity support tasks
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization
