About The Position

The Supply Chain Manager leads and optimizes end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, supplier management, inventory control, shipping, receiving, and logistics. The role ensures timely and cost-effective movement and delivery of materials and services to support manufacturing, production schedules, and program execution. It also supports production readiness, proposals, sourcing decisions, process improvement, and supply chain risk mitigation. The position may require additional hours, evenings, or weekends based on production needs. Duties may change or expand as business demands require. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
At least 5 years of supply chain, procurement, or purchasing experience.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and government contracting requirements.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in ERP systems such as Costpoint, SAP, Oracle, or similar.
Advanced Excel skills and data analysis capabilities.
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
Must be a U.S. citizen.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience as a Buyer or Senior Buyer.
At least 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics within a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
Experience in aerospace, defense, or highly regulated industries.
Familiarity with DCAA compliance and audit requirements.
Experience supporting DoD programs or government contracts.
CPSM, CPIM, or related supply chain certification.
Knowledge of domestic and/or international shipping regulations and documentation.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and execute shipping and receiving activities in a manufacturing setting to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective movement of materials and finished goods.
Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure compliance with company policies and transportation regulations.
Lead procurement activities, including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, components, and services.
Develop and manage supplier relationships to meet quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
Evaluate supplier performance using metrics such as on-time delivery, quality, and cost, and drive continuous improvement.
Identify and qualify new suppliers to support program requirements and risk mitigation.
Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and terms in alignment with company policies.
Oversee material planning, inventory management, and demand forecasting to support production schedules.
Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to meet program milestones and customer requirements.
Monitor inventory levels, excess and obsolete materials, and cost optimization initiatives.
Coordinate with Operations and Production teams to align supply chain activities with manufacturing needs.
Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and other applicable government contracting regulations.
Maintain procurement documentation and support internal, customer, and regulatory audits, including DCAA audits.
Identify supply chain risks, including supplier, geopolitical, and material-shortage risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
Ensure adherence to company policies, quality standards, and ethical sourcing practices.
Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Program Management to support new product development and production readiness.
Support proposal efforts by providing cost estimates, supplier inputs, and lead-time analysis.
Participate in make-versus-buy decisions and strategic sourcing initiatives.
Drive process improvements across procurement and supply chain functions.
Develop and implement best practices, systems, and tools to enhance efficiency and visibility.
Mentor and support buyers or junior supply chain staff, if applicable.
Track and report key performance indicators to leadership.
