The Supply Chain Manager I leads and develops a team of Supply Chain Planners, ensuring strong performance, effective workflow management, and adherence to best practices. This role oversees raw material availability, inventory optimization, and inbound logistics to guarantee uninterrupted manufacturing operations. It proactively manages supply risks, collaborates with multiple cross-functional teams, and drives continuous improvement initiatives. This position will also ensure data integrity, monitor key performance metrics, and provide accurate reporting to support operational and strategic decisions. What You’ll Do: Responsible for purchasing raw materials and supplies for use in production. This includes prompt, accurate entry of purchase orders, active supplier management & coordination with Logistics. Supervise, mentor, and lead a team of Supply Chain Planners, fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment that aligns with Vista’s Core Behaviors. Conduct performance reviews, provide ongoing coaching, and identify professional development opportunities for team members. Manage team workflow, delegate tasks, and ensure adherence to best practices and company policies. Establish and maintain optimal inventory levels for all raw materials, balancing the need for continuous supply while minimizing working capital. Proactively identify and mitigate supply risks (e.g., lead time variability, supplier issues, logistical constraints) and develop contingency plans. Coordinate with procurement teams, monitor supplier performance, and assist with vendor selection and negotiation Oversee the inbound raw material shipping process to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods, ensuring smooth coordination with logistics providers to optimize shipping routes and reduce costs Support continuous improvement and cost savings projects Identify opportunities for process optimization within the planning and inventory management functions. Collaborate with the Sustainability team to provide the required data to support regulatory requirements Track key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze data, and create reports on department performance, budget, achievements and metrics. What You Need: Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business or Materials Management is required. Equivalent experience will be considered. 5+ years of experience in supply chain planning, forecasting, or inventory management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role. Experience with SAP or other ERP systems Direct working knowledge of operations, warehouse management, inventory control, accounting and transportation management Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization Ability to travel to vendor sites or other Cimpress/Vistaprint locations if required Ability to work independently with little or no supervision for extended periods of time
